Craig Clark: The Man Behind The Mission
At the heart of Homeland Opportunity Fund is Lieutenant Colonel Craig Clark — a leader whose discipline, strategic vision, and relentless execution have shaped a portfolio exceeding $100 million in commercial real estate assets across Colorado.
A Marine Corps JAG Officer, practicing attorney, and licensed real estate agent, Craig brings a rare combination of tactical precision, legal expertise, and entrepreneurial drive. His disciplined strategy is built on clear principles: acquire prime, income-producing properties at below market rates, get them stabilized as quickly as possible, actively manage operations to maximize tenant retention and asset value, and maintain a long-term ownership mindset focused on real, compounding growth.
Craig’s success is not accidental. Over the last decade, he has methodically built a trusted team at Homeland — a group of high-performing professionals who share his values of hard work, operational excellence, and accountability. This team is the engine behind Homeland’s day-to-day success and is positioned to continue scaling the portfolio through disciplined, organic expansion.
Beyond business, Craig’s leadership is rooted in character. As a former high school cross-country coach, he mentored young athletes in perseverance, teamwork, and personal excellence — the same traits that define Homeland’s culture today. His deep ties to the Colorado community and his commitment to building lasting relationships are foundational to Homeland’s reputation and long-term success.
Craig is also the founder of Pillows.com. Pillows.com has operated for over 20 years and continues to have tremendous success. Craig and Abby still own Pillows.com and serve as board members after they successfully put a CEO in place who grew from an intern right out of the University of Colorado Boulder to CEO over a decade. Craig brings the same entrepreneurial spirit that led him to found Pillows.com to commercial real estate. Through an entrepreneurial approach to leasing, he gets real estate stabilized and cash flow positive quickly.
Craig currently serves in the Marine Corps Reserve as the Executive Officer for the 4th Civil Affairs Group in Hialeah, Florida. Craig Clark represents a rare kind of leadership: disciplined, principled, and deeply committed to excellence at every level.
